The case of a man accused of hit and run has been adjourned.
Christopher Gordon, 23, of Barclay Road, Leytonstone, appeared at Stratford Magistrates Court on Friday, accused of driving into the back of a car in Bethnal Green and not stopping.
On August 28 last year, in Hackney Road on the junction with Old Street, Mr Gordon is accused of driving into the back of a stationary vehicle waiting at the traffic lights.
He then immediately reversed his Audi A4 and drove through the red light without stopping to give his details and subsequently failing to report the accident at a police station within 24 hours.
Mr Gordon was due to give his plea on Friday but due to delays over paperwork he has been released on unconditional bail and will return on March 20 at Stratford Magistrates Court.
