A cyclist attempting to change the attitude of London’s road users by filming dangerous incidents has recorded another near-miss on a dangerous roundabout.

Earlier this month police confirmed they had identified and contacted a driver who narrowly missed cyclist Dave Sherry, himself a bus driver, at Whipps Cross roundabout on January 29.

The driver was told to take an awareness course or face prosecution.

On February 19, a similar incident happened at the same place – only this time with a bus.

Footage uploaded to YouTube shows father-of-five Mr Sherry, 37, cycling around the roundabout, which is on the Walthamstow border with Leytonstone, at 9.35am, before a 257 bus bound for Walthamstow Central fails to give way to him.

Mr Sherry, from Harlow, sounded the loud truck horn fitted to his bike and broke sharply before approaching the bus driver.

In the footage he can be seen asking the driver about his dangerous manoeuvre.

When the driver fails to offer any kind of apology, Mr Sherry asked for his driver number.

Mr Sherry approached campaign group Roadsafe London with the footage, but was told by police to submit the evidence to them as it was "apparent" the driver failed to look, or entered the roundabout ignoring the cyclist.

Mr Sherry, who takes the same route into London every day, claimed the roundabout is "extremely dangerous" for all road users.
