Residents were entertained with a triple celebration at the weekend.
The Loughton High Road Town Centre Partnership hosted the events on Saturday in High Road, Loughton to celebrate Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras and Pancake Day.
Residents enjoyed an array of activities including a tai chi masterclass by the Loughton Tai Chi group, free fortune cookies, a pancake tossing competition and free crepes.
There was also a chance to try Chinese calligraphy and design a Chinese dragon.
Cllr Pewsey said: “thanks to Wo Fat, Morrisons, and the Fabulicious Baking School for the prizes and the food.
“We aim to remind residents and visitors that our town has a lot to offer, so there will be family-friendly themed events in the High Road throughout the year.”
