A community have helped makeover a town centre.
The Highams Park Society, ward councillors, local residents and The Highams Park Plan dug and cleared tree bases in the centre of Highams Park on Friday.
The bases were later filled in with compost and had winter bedding plants planted to brighten up the area.
Council staff also painted some 1960s metal street signs in the afternoon.
Around a dozen volunteers helped with the 'spring clean' which was undertaken in a bid to ready the town for next season.
