A cancer fundraising group is calling for volunteers to help with its annual appeal.
The Wanstead Marie Curie fundraising group is looking for people to help with street collections in the high street for the national Great Daffodil Appeal, which takes place next month.
Collections are planned for March 7 and 14 outside the Co-operative supermarket and the underground station.
In last March’s Great Daffodil Appeal, the group, which meets monthly at Wanstead United Reformed Church in Nightingale Lane, collected £1,000.
Group co-ordinator Jill Playford said: “Most people will do a two-hour shift, but any amount of time is appreciated.”
