A man has denied driving dangerously during a police car chase in which a boy and pensioner were injured.
Adeel Chaudary, 24, of Markhouse Road, Walthamstow, is accused of dangerous driving and driving with no insurance following the chase through Chingford and Highams Park on July 17.
Police followed the white Mercedes to Winchester Road after they spotted it driving dangerously in King's Head Hill at around 8pm.
The Mercedes then collided with a Rover containing three passengers, injuring an 11-year-old boy and 65-year-old woman who suffered back injuries.
Extensive damage was caused to the Rover.
The Mercedes continued along Winchester Road into Evanston Avenue before it eventually came to a stop in Swanage Road.
Police gave chase to the driver who was found in the front garden of a house in Swanage Road.
A 21-year-old was arrested in September on suspicion of motor vehicle theft but has since been released with no further action.
Chaudary pleaded not guulty to both counts at Thames Magistrates Court on Monday and has been released on unconditional bail to stand trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court on March 10.
