Groups of Year six children from schools across the south east of England descended on Forest School for the afternoon, in College Place, Snaresbrook.
Experiments included heating and reaction tests with chemicals, tasting tests and experiments with weights.
The 20 schools included Gwyn Jones Primary School in Leytonstone, Loyola Prep School in Buckhurst Hill, and Forest Prep School in Snaresbrook.
