An appeal has been made for volunteers to help bring new colour into the town centre.

An Epping in Bloom group is being set-up by Epping town council with the aim of growing and maintaining floral displays at prominent locations around the town.

The town council will fund the project, and professional gardeners will offer advice to the new green-fingered recruits.

The project aims to improve the appearance of the town, and could lead to future entries in town floral competitions.
