A busy road has re-opened following an early-morning collision near a burst water main.
Ranger's Road in Chingford, was closed in both directions between Warren Pond Road and Epping New Road shortly after 6.30am this morning.
Police confirmed at least two vehicles were involved - a white Ford Transit van and a blue Saab but two other cars, a Citroen C4 and Fiat Punto were damaged at the scene.
The accident happened between Connaught Waters and the junction with Epping New Road where police say a water main had burst which led to surface water and ice conditions.
There are no reported injuries and no arrests have been made.
Traffic is now easing in both directions.
