A former West Hatch High School pupil has won through to the next round of the BBC’s The Voice, despite losing out in the first battle round.
Ryan Green, 18, who left the Chigwell school in 2013, was not chosen to continue by pop star Rita Ora on Saturday.
But fellow judge Will.i.am took the opportunity to choose the singer for his team.
West Hatch High School music teacher Mauro Sheehan said: “Congratulations to Ryan. I wish him well.
“He left us with many talents and it's great to see how these are developing and coming to fruition.”
