People can travel on a steam train as it visits the Barking Gospel Oak line this weekend.
The Cathedral Express, which is making its way from Southend to Bristol, will stop in Barking, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
The first stop is at 8.23am on Saturday in Barking
It will make stops along the line, including at Wanstead Park, Leytonstone High Road and Blackhorse Road.
The train operated by charter train operator Steam Dreams will be hauled by 'B1' class steam locomotive No 61306 "Mayflower" - normally resident on the North Norfolk Railway.
Barking Gospel Oak Railway User Group Secretary Glenn Wallis said: "It is a bit early for a Saturday morning, but I thought many who use the line or live near it might like to watch the train pass from the lineside.
“Young children are bound to find seeing the train exciting, after all 'Mayflower' does look a lot like Thomas the Tank Engine's friend ‘Henry the Green Engine’.”
