A district councillor has been elected as the new chairman of Epping Forest Conservative Association.
Grange Hill district councillor Gagan Mohindra was chosen to take over from Simon Jones, who has served a three-year term, this week.
Randolph Churchill, the great grandson of Sir Winston Churchill, will continue on as president.
Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing said: “I’m enormously grateful to Simon Jones for all the excellent work he has done during his term as chairman.
“He is a great campaigner, totally dedicated and also a loyal friend.
“I am delighted that Gagan Mohindra has taken over as chairman.
"I know that he has the energy, the ideas and the experience to take the association forward.”
