The date for Loughton’s annual charity fun run has been announced.

This year, Town Mayor Sharon Weston is hoping that people of all ages and abilities will turn up to support Oak View School on April 19.

Mums with buggies, young children and dogs on leads are all invited to tackle the three mile route and raise money for the schools latest project.

Money for The Oak View School Life Skills Project will provide a specially equipped room designed to help prepare children with learning and physical disabilities for independent living when they leave the school.

The run starts at 10.30am from the tennis courts at the end of Roding Road in Loughton with a 10-minute warm-up session for participants prior to the klaxon.

Participants are encouraged to go at their own speed and all will receive a medal.

You can register in advance by downloading the form from the council’s website, www.loughton-tc.gov.uk or just turn up on the day itself.

There’s no sponsorship to arrange and this year’s entry fees are £10 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family ticket.
