A mother and father will jump out of a plane to raise money for computer equipment at a primary school.

Rob and Charlotte Santer, of Meridian Park Estate in Waltham Abbey, are looking to raise £3,000 so that every child in High Beech Primary School in Mott Street has access to a computer.

The small school, which has 104 pupils from 70 families, has suffered most from Government cuts which means children in classes of 15 have access to less than ten computers, according to the concerned parent.

Two other parents Craig Sheffield and Laura Stavrou will also take the 13,000 foot plunge in Cambridge on April 8.

Charlotte Santer, who will be joined on the jump by her 67-year-old parents, said the equipment could inspire the next Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg or Steve Jobs.

The 42-year-old said: “It is a nightmare to get signal in the area and the school needs complete rewiring.

"Government funding is being cut and resources must be focused on the greatest number of pupils, so small schools take a very low priority.

“I may be a bit mad but my kids love that I am doing it. Our son Nathan would do it as well if he was old enough.”
