A flag was raised in a morning of celebrations for Commonwealth Day hosted by Redbridge council.
Councillors including leader Cllr Jas Athwal and Mayor Cllr Ashley Kissin joined in the ceremony at Redbridge town hall in Ilford at 9.45am today (March 9).
Commonwealth Day, which was first held in 1958, celebrates the relationship between the 53 Commonwealth nations across the world.
