A mother has raised £110 for charity with a book-inspired children's party.
Tracy Baines, 41, held the 'Giant Wiggle Party' at Wesley Hall behind Loughton Methodist Church in Loughton yesterday to raise much-needed funds for children's charity, Action for Children, who support neglected children and young people throughout the UK.
The party, which catered for 22 children aged newborn to five-years-old, consisted of a bouncy castle, arts and crafts, party wear, book reading and a buffet lunch all based on themes and colours from The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The mother-of-two, who has previously hosted quiz nights, sata fun runs and guide events to raise money for the charity, said the event went "really well".
She said: "the party was really successful, everyone had a fantastic time.
"We had 22 children and about 15 parents, it went really well and the children enjoyed hearing the stories.
"I'm glad to have raised £110 for such a worthy charity."
