Knives found in Leytonstone following a call about a group of youths
Police have released images of knives found in the Leytonstone area earlier today.
An ‘area sweep’ uncovered one large knife and one smaller one after calls were made regarding anti-social behaviour and a gang of youths.
The picture was Tweeted out by the Waltham Forest MPS team earlier today.
The image comes just days after The Guardian revealed there is a knife related incident in the borough every day.
Over the last two months there have been a number of stabbings, including one in Leytonstone in which a man was chased into a shop and stabbed in the leg.
