A conservation trust is set to host an Easter egg hunt in hopes of raising much-needed funds.
The Woodland Trust, who campaign to protect ancient woods, restore the ones that are damaged and fight for those under threat, will hold the hunt in Hainault Forest next Saturday (April 4).
Children will be challenged to explore trees and grassland for clues and puzzles in order to win a chocolate prize.
Site manager at the Woodland Trust Tony Chadwick said: “Spring is one of the most exciting times to be out in woodland – the whole area is transforming and bursting into life.
"I hope that our Easter egg hunt will show people how fun the forest can be.”
Admission is £2 per child and places must be secured by emailing foresthainault@btinternet.com prior to the event.
