Young volunteers helped spruce up a museum garden in time for Easter.
Students from King Harold School, in Broomstick Hall Road Waltham Abbey, visited Lowewood Museum in Hoddesdon, yesterday (March 25), to give the garden a makeover ahead of the museum’s expected busy Easter weekend.
The 12 students took an active role in designing and planning the museum’s planting beds as well as weeding and pruning.
This is the first time the museum has hosted a volunteering project in the garden.
The volunteer project was designed by Epping Forest District Council to introduce school students to skills outside the classroom.
The Epping Forest District Museum in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey is due to re-open later this year.
