A yoga teacher inspired by her difficulty in finding suitably fashionable sports clothing has started her own business in the industry.

Natalie Dale, 29, of Malvern Drive, Woodford Green, decided to set up her Style PB sports clothing company after she struggled to find clothing when she trained for the London Marathon in 2013.

She said: “I adore exercising and I go to the gym five times a week.

“It was when I was training for the marathon a couple of years ago that I found all the running clothing was so non-descript.

“It was almost as if the shirts were from the men’s range and had been shrunk and coloured pink.

“After going for a run I wanted to be able to meet friends for a coffee but I was not comfortable in what I was wearing."

Natalie Dale started Style PB in September.

So last year, Ms Dale set about starting her own sports fashion business, which stocks mostly British, independent brands.

Style PB was set up in September with the help of the Prince’s Trust, which helps people under the age of 30 in starting small businesses.

Ms Dale, who keeps her stock in an industrial unit in Harlow, said she has noticed sportswear becoming increasingly fashionable in Woodford Green and the surrounding areas.

She said: "There has been a massive trend recently in sportswear being worn as daywear, something you see a lot of in Woodford Green and Essex.

“People are more conscious of what they are wearing while exercising and they want to look good while doing it.

“There is definitely a market for fashionable sportswear.”
