The Wanstead Society has announced it will be hosting the event on April 25.

Society chairman Geoff Horsnell confirmed Labour’s John Cryer, Conservative Matthew Scott and Liberal Democrat Carl Quilliam had all agreed to attend.

Mr Horsnell said he was hoping to confirm Rosie Beattie of UKIP and Ashley Gunstock of the Green Party in the coming weeks.

Labour has held the seat since it was created in 1997, with John Cryer being MP since 2010.

The meeting will take place from 11am to 1pm in the Churchill Room at Wanstead Library, in Spratt Hall Road.
