A conservation group celebrated 'Take a Walk in a Park' day this morning with a free event.
This morning (March 30) a two-hour guided walk, organised by the Friends of Wanstead Parklands, took place in Wanstead Park.
The walkers were led around the Chestnut trail, which took them past lakes, woodland and buildings of interest in the park.
The group said the aim of the day, every March 30, is to encourage people to visit their local parks and enjoy the opportunities they provide for recreation and experiencing nature.
