A WOMAN was attacked as she walked along Queens Road, Buckhurst Hill.
Police said the 58-year-old was on the way to visit her mother at 7.20pm on Sunday when she was approached from behind by a young man who grabbed the strap on her handbag, but she held on and was dragged to the ground and pulled along.
She suffered minor injuries and bruises.
The man ran off with the black handbag, which contained bank cards and a Motorola mobile phone. It was later found in a nearby alleyway still containing keys and a purse.
The thief was aged between 15 and 20, 6ft tall and skinny and was wearing dark clothing.
