Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a shooting in Wanstead last week.
Detectives are asking for anyone with information, or who saw anything around George Green, Draycot Road and High Street, Wanstead, at around 12.30am last Wednesday, to come forward.
Police said they are particularly interested in anyone who saw a white van or a silver Vauxhall Astra.
A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and head.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The investigation is being conducted by Detective Sergeant Ramshaw from Operation Trident Shootings Team.
No arrests have been made.
