Residents have created a new hotel for creepy crawlies on an estate.
Around 40 people in Aldriche Way, Highams Park, came together with staff from Ascham Homes to and OrganicLea community growers to build the bug hotel on Saturday (March 28).
They set to work using plates of wood, roof tiles, plastic pipes and variety of other materials to make the hotel snug enough for wildlife such as bees, beetles and ladybirds to thrive.

Some flower beds were also created on the day to help the estate a greener and more colourful environment.
James Vincent from Ascham Homes, said: "A massive thank you to all of those who got involved on the day. It was a great turnout and everyone, kids and parents, got stuck in.
"Bug hotels are a fantastic and cheap way to educate people on insects and local wildlife.
"In our built up urban environment, insects have less places to live so through this project we are doing our bit for the environment."
