BARRY NICHOLSON will miss the SPL second-place showdown with Rangers on Saturday.
Aberdeen's former Ibrox midfielder is out for six weeks after fracturing a collarbone.
The 28-year-old was caught by a reckless challenge from Laryea Kingston, which earned the Hearts midfielder a second yellow at Pittodrie last Saturday.
Nicholson has been a key man for Dons this season, scoring six goals in 30 games. However, he will not be back until after the league splits.
Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood said: "It's a massive blow for us as Barry has been magnificent recently.
"The doctor said he hadn't seen a break like the one Barry has in a long time so it's an unusual injury." Libor Sionko, who has hardly featured for Rangers under Walter Smith, is in the Czech squad for next week, but there is no place for Celt Jiri Jarosik. Labour MPs have tabled a Commons motion calling for Jock Stein to be knighted. Ex-Motherwell striker Richie Foran moved Southend out of the Championship relegation zone with the only goal against Burnley last night.
