An industrial estate was evacuated due to a chemical leak.
Firefighters were called to Mead Park Industrial Estate, between Roydon and Harlow, at around 9.30am today following reports of a chemical spill in the back of a lorry.
Two crews from Harlow, one from Waltham Abbey and one from Grays attended the scene.
The area was cordoned off and all nearby premises were evactuated.
Fire crews stood by at the incident for six hours to ensure public safety while they awaited the arrival of a chemical clean-up company.
The incident has now been cleared.
