An application to build 65 new flats on greenbelt land has been withdrawn.
The proposed Powell Road in Buckhurst Hill development, which was sent in to Epping Forest District Council in January, was withdrawn yesterday prior to tonight’s Area Plans South Committee meeting where the decision as to whether it would go ahead would have been made.
Yourlife Management Services applied for the erection of 65 assisted living flats for the elderly including communal facilities and car parking on the land beside the existing house on January 28.
The application was withdrawn following 87 resident letters opposing the plans including the recommended disapproval by Buckhurst Hill Parish Council on the basis of the development being on green belt land.
