Ex-offenders have been cleaning up the streets of Waltham Forest as part of their community payback programme.
A butterfly knife and a steel mallet, as well as used needles, were uncovered by the team of thirteen in Eastfield Road, Walthamstow, last week.
The team spent six hours clearing hedges in response to residents' complaints about drugs paraphernalia dumped in the bushes.
