A motorcyclist is recovering in hospital today after being thrown ‘20ft from his bike’ after an accident in Walthamstow.
The man, aged 61, was in ‘serious but stable’ condition following the accident at around 10.15am in Hoe Street.
Emergency services cordoned off the area after the collision between the bike and a black BMW.
Witnesses said there was a loud bang, before the man was flung from his vehicle.
A cordon remained in place into the afternoon as the fire brigade were called to deal with an oil spill across the road.
The driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
