The church will hold a flower festival and craft fair
A church will celebrate its 80th anniversary next month with a long weekend of activities.
St Winifred’s Church in Manor Road, Chigwell, will celebrate its anniversary on May 23, 24 and 25 with a flower festival and craft fair.
A worship group will be held at 4pm on the Sunday, and there will also be antiques for sale and a talk on the history of the church.
Church co-ordinator Freda Ball said: “The theme of it is ‘Glory to God’, for the fact we have managed to serve for 80 years and gone from strength to strength.”
Admission to all events is free.
