A woman suffered burns last night after an electricity socket exploded and set fire to curtains.
Two fire crews attended the house fire in Norton Road, Loughton, just after 9pm last night (April 16).
The fire was out when the firefighters arrived on the scene, but a woman was found with burns to her hand and face.
An ambulance was called to treat the casualty and she was left in the care of paramedics.
Fire crews inspected the property to make sure it was safe before leaving the scene at 21.26pm.
