A manhunt has been launched after a woman was grabbed around the throat in a supermarket car park.
The 32-year-old parked outside Tesco in High Road, Leyton, at 5pm on March 22, she became aware of the driver of the vehicle behind shouting at her.
Immediately after getting out of her car, the man left his small, light coloured car and grabbed the victim around the throat, pushing her back into her car.
Several people intervened in the incident and the man left the scene before police attended.
The woman did not suffer any injuries.
The suspect is described by police as a slim black man, aged around 40 and 5ft 5ins.
At the time of the incident he had a shaved head, full beard and was wearing a red, white and gold football kit.
