Police have released an e-fit of a man who sexually assaulted a woman jogger.

The victim, in her 20s and from Broxbourne, was attacked beside the River Lee in Nazeing last Monday (April 20).

She was grabbed from behind by the man who then sexually assaulted her at around 6.30pm between Dobbs Weir Lock and Carthagena Lock.

The man tried to drag her towards bushes, but she managed to escape and called police.

She was unharmed but badly shaken.

The attacker is described as white, aged 25 to 30, about 6ft 3ins and of muscular build.

He had dark brown gelled back hair and spoke with a local accent.

He was wearing a white T-shirt with a dark coloured logo on the left side, dark coloured knee-length shorts and white trainers.

He was also wearing a key chain on his shorts and his breath smelled of alcohol.
