Seven teenagers and two adults arrested on suspicion of growing cannabis have been released on bail.

Police discovered the factory at a home in Peel Close, Chingford, during the early hours of April 23 after responding to reports of a disturbance. 

Cannabis plants, bags of dried cannabis and growing equipment were found in the property and seized by officers.  

Three teenage boys, four teenage girls, a 48-year-old man and a woman aged 34, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

The girls and boys were all aged between 16 and 18. 

All nine people have been released on police bail to a date in mid June.
