Students were awarded investment for their fashion productsat a university fair.
Budding entrepreneurs from Leyton Sixth Form College were chosen to hold a stall at the Middlesex University Spring Fair in Hendon after impressing judges with their business models.
They received £250 to develop their product and to sell it at the fair on Friday (April 17).
Students Shaniqua Allen, Naomi Lebe, Sahara Williams and Eleona Wai, collectively known as Les Grip, were announced as this year’s winners with their handmade clutch bags.
Fellow student Fagne Fabio Da Costa was named runner up after developing his own label ‘LVCX’ including t-shirts and jumpers.
Les Grip received a cash prize of £300 to be reinvested back into their new business.
Education liason at Middlesex University, Elita Eliades-Ahmed, said: “each student created, made, provided and sold their own products, which included some truly unique designs and impressed the judges.”
