Police are urging residents to remain vigilant following an attempted burglary.
Officers were called to Weald Bridge Road in Epping on Monday (May 4) at 2.15pm following reports of damage to a front door.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “There was an attempted burglary in Weald Bridge Road Epping.
“Minor damage was found to the front door frame but no entry was gained.
“Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to Essex Police.”
Anyone who witnesses a break-in or any suspicious behaviour is asked to call Essex Police on 101.
