A 24-hour musical marathon managed to raise £1200 this bank holiday in aid of a local charity.
Ye Olde Rose and Crown in Hoe Street, Walthamstow played host to the second-ever Stow-a-Thon, with a complete day of free live music stretching from noon on Sunday (May 3) to noon on Monday (May 4).
Donations recieved from the gig all went to Limes a community children’s centre for disabled children.
Organiser Adam Taylor said they were going to try and beat the total again next year.
"I think including the choirs we had upwards of a 100 performers taking part through the 24 hours", he said.
"It was too good but we are all shattered. We must give a special mention to the Rose and Crown who ran the beer tent at the Lloyd Park May Fayre."
