A former college building has been destroyed following a fire.
Firefighters were called to the middle building site of Epping Forest College in Borders Lane, Loughton, on Friday (May 8) at around 6.30pm following reports of a three-storey building alight.
The blaze destroyed the former hair and beauty school and left melted wiring hanging from ceilings and glass smashed inside the building which was closed in 2011.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze by 7.30pm.
There were no casualties.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
Epping Forest College have been approached for comment.
The only surviving item in the building was the head of a mannequin (pictured left).
