People will have a chance to raise concerns to their local police team at a community meeting next month.

Essex Police have invited residents to meet and talk with their officers at Epping Forest College in Borders Lane, Loughton, on June 9.

Officers will discuss issues with local policing and crime in Essex at the meeting, which runs between 7.30 and 9.30pm.

Both PCC Nick Alston and the county’s Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh will be present.

Mr Alston said: “These events give the public a unique opportunity to pose questions to both myself and the Chief Constable about crime and policing in their neighbourhood and county.

“They will also have the chance to see me publicly scrutinise the performance and work of Essex Police –a fundamental and key part of my role.

“I would urge everyone to submit questions and attend to see democracy and scrutiny in local policing in action.”

All members of the public are welcome.
