An outdoor gym is set to be built on a disused playground.
Buckhurst Hill Parish Council has put aside £25,000 for the facility and been awarded grant funding for the project in Hornbeam Road.
Building works could start as early as the end of this summer, but negotiations are ongoing with an unnamed party, the council said.
