The trial of a 21-year-old accused of a string of sex offences against a teenage girl including rape has begun.
Liam Rogers, 21, of Roundhills Estate in Waltham Abbey, is charged with raping the girl, aged 13 at the time, in Waltham Abbey on December 10, 2011.
Rogers, who denies the offences, is also accused of engaging in sex with the same girl on or about the same date, as well as a further three offences of sexual touching between 2011 and September 2013.
The trial at Chelmsford Crown Court is expected to last three days.
