A man was airlifted to hospital with serious facial injuries at the weekend.
Police, paramedics and an air ambulance were called to the scene in High Street, Roydon at around 2.30pm on Saturday (May 23) following reports of an assault.
Paramedics treated a man in his 30s who was found to have suffered severe facial injuries.
He was flown to the Royal London Hospital for further care in a serious condition.
An investigation into the attack has been launched by Essex Police.
Anyone who witnessed the assault or has further information is asked to call Harlow CID on 101.
