The meal will be followed by stalls and family activities between noon and 6pm on June 7.
The Big Lunch, an event started to get people across the UK to have lunch with their neighbours, is coming to Leytonstone next weekend.
Taking place at Church Lane Community Garden, on Harold Road, at noon the event, weather permitting, will include a two hour shared BBQ.
Young and old residents are invited to bring meat and vegetarian food to share and to bring their own crockery and cutlery to ensure no waste.
Hosted by Transition Leytonstone, the meal will be followed by stalls, a raffle and family activities between noon and 6pm on June 7.
