A Sainsbury’s store is on the lookout for its charity of the year.
The seventh year of the scheme, which has raised £7million across the country, has been launched at Sainsbury’s Superstore in Tanners Lane, Barkingside.
Customers will be given a choice of charities to vote for and the winner will get help from the store to fundraise and raise awareness in the forthcoming year.
Charities can register their interest at the customer service desk to be considered and a shortlist will be released on June 15.
Customers can then vote between June 15 and 28 in the store or online: www.sainsburyslocalcharity.co.uk
Chris Wager, Barkingside store manager, said: “We know there are so many great charities in the local area and we’re really excited about providing a boost to one of these over the next year.”
