A boy will appear in court after a teenager was stabbed twice in four days.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service to reports of two teenagers suffering from stab wounds in Connington Crescent, Chingford, on Monday (June 8) at around 6.30pm.

A 17-year-old boy from Chingford, who cannot be named, has been charged with causing Grevious Bodily Harm in Connington Crescent and will appear in custody at Stratford Magistrates' Court today.

The 16-year-old victim had been discharged from hospital 48 hours earlier after being stabbed in Hall Lane, at the junction with Sinclair Road, on Thursday.

The second man arrested, a 21-year-old, has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late July.

The 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital by air ambulance after being stabbed for the second time in four days, according to his mother.

A second teenager, aged 15, was treated by paramedics in Withy Mead after being stabbed in the back and taken to hospital.

Both have since been discharged.
