The death of a man who was hit by a train at Leyton station has officially been ruled a suicide.
Louis Priest, 59, died after throwing himself in front of an eastbound Central line train on December 17 last year, Walthamstow Coroner's Court heard.
Last year, Mr Priest’s friend of 20 years, Chris Gryce, said he was undergoing treatment for depression.
He said: “He obviously thought he made no contribution to this world, that his life was of no consequence, but I beg to differ.
“We miss him very much. He did make an impact, in his own way.”
Mr Priest was a council employee who lived in Forest Gate.
