A driver has been fined £500 for attacking a council car clamper.
Tapodev Chakraborty, 45, of Broadfield Way in Buckhurst Hill, was convicted of beating Stephen Grundy on November 13 in an attempt to prevent his vehicle being clamped.
Chakraborty, who appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates Court, was fined £500 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
He was also ordered to pay £620 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
