A phone thief who was tracked down with a tracking app hours after pickpocketing music fans at a rock concert has been jailed.
Leonard Dragomir, from Barking, swiped seven phones as American band System of a Down played at Wembley Arena on April 10, before being tracked down to Walthamstow by police.
The 40-year-old admitted stealing the phones and was jailed for four months at Harrow Crown Court on Friday (June 26).
Several fans told security staff their phones had been stolen and police used the phone-tracking app as one of the phones was still switched on.
Officers followed Dragomir along the North Circular to St James’s Street in Walthamstow.
He was found with seven phones in his possession and arrested.
Detective Constable Rob Borgeaud said: "I hope this sentence serve as a warning to others that we will disrupt organised criminal networks and ensure they are brought to justice."
