A CCTV image has been released of a shoplifter who was chased by B&Q staff after stealing a drill.
The man pictured is wanted in connection with theft at the DIY store in Heybridge Way, Leyton, on April 11 at around 9.50am.
He stole a DeWalt Combi drill worth £145 by cutting the security chain and then ran out of the store with the tool.
The theft was noticed by staff who chased him into the car park but he sped off in a silver Audi TT with a 2002 registration plate.
After carrying checks on the vehicle, police believe the car was fitted with stolen number plates.
